Hello Retro Rides collective brains...
I have these wheels that I want to use on my Datsun 510. They are 13" and 7" wide:
I also want to use 280ZX struts which I have in the workshop. The 280ZX used 14" wheels and I hate the 280ZX standard calipers so I am trying to find a caliper that will go onto the 280ZX strut, will fit the 280ZX discs and will fit under 13" wheels. And on a budget.
Here's what I know:
Bolt centres for the caliper mount on the 280ZX strut is 3.5"
280ZX disc is 252mm diameter and 20mm wide (vented)
And I am thinking that the MG Metro Turbo caliper may work. It is 3.5" centre to centre mounting, and it is designed for 20mm disc. It is also small enough to fit within Metro Turbo wheels.
I can make brackets.
Another option is the Wilwood Superlite or other similar Wilwood caliper.
This is for a street driven 150HP Datsun 510.
So does anybody have measurements of a Metro Turbo caliper, a rough spare Metro Turbo caliper that I could buy or borrow, a set of measurements for any caliper that will work?
Any other thoughts?
Thanks all,
Charlie
