Opinion/Sugestions and Photoshophelp on dash top gauge pod

I NEED YOUR OPINION SUGGESTION AND PHOTOSHOP SKILLS!!!

I am trying to add a gauge pod and fould a Mitsubishi dash top triple gauge pod.
This is from A Mitsubishi Decila! As it is not set at an angle so the gauges are not
tilted so it looks the part.

But I need help with this as my sight does fluctuate at the moment, so I need
suggestions on placement and possibly how it looks when it is in place. Rthere is
a lip under the gauge plate which would slide under the dash pannel it would be
mounted on. I will trim the face structure to help. The rear cover in this case
doesn't match the colour of the dash nut I do have one that does.

Either would do, though the closer one might be better simply because there is less of it in your eye line when driving.

I have to say I think that pod is a better bet than the other ideas as it looks about the right size already.

If it was mine, I would have the front of your new pod sitting over the step in the dash with the panel the clocks fit in to level with it. This would involve trimming the body of the pod down and routing out the step slightly to clear the clocks I was fitting in to the pod.
I would also be tempted to see if the existing dash could be colour matched to allow your new pod to be sprayed to blend in.

One idea with a dash pannel off the car but whrn in situe it will look different!












There are three sets of photos, bare dash, first idea of location, then second idea of
location.

Please remember the pod would sit lower than it is and could be worked to fit into that
panel better. So please let me know what you think thanks

Okay here are those rough sketches for photoshop ideas to give you ideas to start off Please remember that the gauge pod is designed so the lip on the frond facia under the gauges would side under the panel it would be sitting on.





I had to find old paper so it wasn't as reflective and bright so no light could bounce ff it. ?Then I had to do the drawings in a dimly lit room at knight so and with a thicker pen than I used too. I can't do it on screen at the moment as white on screen gives me headaches and blurs my vision like a snow white out!
Hence the delay.
