A quick question. Does anybody know how to remove the seat tilt/headrest height adjust knob on the side of the seat upright? It LOOKS like it needs to be prised off but I'm loathed to do that and break it. Ive stripped the base, modified it with foam from an old MX5 seat I had laying around, and fitted a new base cover ( looks and feels a million times better now) but that knob is holding things up!!!! Could have finished it all today if it wasn't for that bloody knob. Any advice will be most welcome. Thanks.

Can't find anything on WIS that looks as if it is bolted in with.
Was the base hard to do? My spring base has gone. Are both front cushions the same?

A few of the springs on the base had broken, no surprises there. What I did, which was not very technical, was modify a spare foam base from a MX5 seat ( Id had the whole seat in pieces in my garage for years)to get it to slide in between the bottom of the base and top frame of the base. Carefully pushing and pulling the foam in between the springs was needed for it to sit just right. I have to say that the seat is now fantastic to sit on, you don't feel like you are sitting on a tramploine anymore. The knob for tilt and headrest height adjustment was a PITA to get off. I ended up levering it off but breaking the inner wheel of it which raises and lowers the headrest. Thats no big deal to me to be fair and I can always find another knob for it. The cover was easy enough to take off and the replacement ditto. Hope that helps a bit.
