Yo.
I have just taken possession of a mk2 Cavalier that needs a small amount of work. When said work is completed I will probably be looking at getting rid of the factory steelies for something more interesting.
Just wondering if anyone could provide me with some bolt on inspiration? Ideally not super rare or expensive but an improvement over 14 rusty steels painted black!
So far silver painted 15 or 16inch steels has crossed my mind but am really struggling!
Thanks.

They look awesome, however I don't think my very limited budget could even stretch to buying a single wheel let alone a set...

'80s BMW 3-series wheels fit, 4-bolt water-cooled VW wheels, some Japanese stuff. 4x100 PCD
You are best sticking to GM wheels though because metal may need to be machined out of wheels with a smaller centre bore (yours are 56.1mm) and you need high offset wheels if you don't want them sticking out the arches and killing your wheel bearings.
You also need to ensure the taper of the wheel bolts match that of the holes.
VW fitment is fine though, and that's a very popular market so there's a lot available, steel or alloy.

if you have the choice of vw wheels then the world is your lobster!
I'm used to reading ford mags and the limited usual suspects on the wheel ad pages but when I flicked through a vw mag recently my mind was well and truly boggled!

Mine are being replaced for banded steels soon, 16" renault ones in silver, with 80s wheel trimms to fit the centres
However if he cant afford ronals I'm assuming bandies are out the question too...
Id look for some cheap cav expressions - or if the budgets a bit better speedline alessiio 2 or irmy softstars

VW Scala wheels from a Golf will suit it.

Thanks all.
Think I'm going to stay with Vaux wheels for easy offsets etc, but will see what comes around!

Many moons ago I had a saloon Sri. I put 7x15 gold bbs rims off a mk2 golf on it....
|
|
I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!
