I love this film and if I ever see it on the box I will watch it...
It is slow and ponderous but the tension that builds up is just beyond compare... It is a cinematic gem and it should be watched by everyone!!!

One of Spielberg's first films. As a child of the 70s and 80s I remember watching it several times (always on a Saturday evening for some reason), I bought a copy on DVD a few years go on Amazon - I think it was less than a fiver - bargain.

Excellent film, the truck is so mean. Google for them as there is a big following.

That truck is a thing of sinister beauty
If that pulled up behind you, you would need a change of underwear!

Atomotive cult classic. The flames at the end are said to resemble the devil.

Cool truck but probably an absolute bear to drive, no power/no self centering steering, two gear sticks, you'd be absolutely knackered at the end of a shift, think i'll stick to my Volvo FH

Thanks for the proper link Simes. And I'm a big fan of two lane lane blacktop. The first time you see a close up of the truck as it nudges him and notice the reg plate collection is downright mean! Glad so many people like it.
