Nice pics. Wheels day should not just be OK though, even in the rain. The quality was high but it was a shadow of its previous years, and yes, even relative to the weather. I suspect the pre booking rule bit the Surrey street rodders on the a**e. A real shame.

Gr8 pics. What´s the story behind that orange sierra pickup? Did it just carry that v8 or was it "on duty"? It is deffo 'On duty' It is a warm Rover V8 - It came to my local Ford meet a week or so ago - Owner said it was 'Fine in a straight line' but horrible to drive! In his own words, it understeered like a pig, and the drag racing specific gearbox he had fitted was 'Just awful' He said it drove so bad, it was for sale. He spent circa 25k building it, and said he would snatch someones hand off if offered 10k! He wasn't exactly a great salesman!

I've always wanted to do Wheels Day so I certainly hope it has some years left in it yet. The calibre of the metal on display is spectacular year on year. Thanks for posting Mr Bizzle. What is this in? I'll take this please.

That Rapier on AREs is my pick. Lovely. Mine too (followed a close second by the Sox & Martin Superbird on Keystone Classics - yum!) - it's a pity that they aren't seen more often - the Sunbeam Alpine / Rapier coupés are one of my favourite late '60s cars
