1983 'A' reg Honda quintet. After around 6 months of trying finally got my hands on this.... Needs alot doing, its not as nice as it looks in the pics. Its mot'd, drives ok, and mountains of service history (bill of sale, showroom brochure, every old mot etc.)plus, when was the last time you saw one? Anyway, plans are sort the bodywork (usual J rust spots)and make up my mind what exactly to do with it, seeing as there's not many left it would be nice to keep it standard... Would look the nuts sitting low on some chunky fat wheels mind....

Well, there's plenty to be getting on with!... Some of the worse bits Luckily it seems pretty solid underneath the scabby paint, not expecting an easy fix tho

Get everything tidied up as planned and give those standard steels a delicate bit of banding and you'll be onto a winner there without a doubt. Add just the slightest bit of lowness and it'll be sublime... Nothing serious, just winning tweaks! Please do keep us posted...

Hi all, Just a quick update for anyone interested. Started attacking the rust, whilst browsing ebay on a fag break, look what I found... Under £200 and around the corner, couldn't resist! There 13x7j Minilites, et-7. Love the poke but gonna need lots of work to get them sitting right. Ofcourse, I had to whack one on and see how it might look... Yeah, er, guess a 50 profile is abit too 'low profile', so, of to the local tyre shop I go... Funny how tyre sizes can make such a massive difference to the appearance! 175/70/13 fr and standard 155/80/13 rear (standard steels are 4.5j!) Desperately needs lowering and think I need to drop rangerbob an email asap! More to follow... Well, when I get a chance to actually get anything done that is ( 4 kids, Mrs, dog, 3 cats, working 6 days a week blah, blah etc)

Thanks all. I seem to have developed a habit of starting projects, getting bored and selling before there even close to finished. Then I discovered this forum, talk about inspiration! Determined to get this one done! And yes, still got the 175/50/13's, drop me a pm buddy

Lol. All done in an hour, dry (no water, jet wash or steam), by hand. I'm a valeter so had plenty of practice! Suspension fun and games planned for the weekend so hopefully a decent update soon!

What's the knack for the spangly engine bay? Mine's horrible and grimy and I'd love it to look like that. SUPERCOOL car BTW.
