The temp gauge in my 24 has never done much but ive never had any trouble with temps so assumed it was just the gauge
I have proper cold and warm tickovers and it runs beautifully. So i can assume the thermostat is allowing water to circulate
However.
I sat in traffic the otherday and lo and behold the temp gauge moved! But once it started to rise half way through the cold zone the engine started to get lumpy as if it was overheating. And the fan wasnt engaging. As soon as i started moving it moved back down to 0 and the car was back to normal.
Now i can hazzard a guess the gauge or temp sender has a dodgy earth hence the low reading. But the fan not kicking in?
Any ideas chaps?
