What can i do to the lucas pump on the 1800 td lump that comes in the sierra/escort? Its a 90 spec engine with a boost compensator.
I'm going to stick a much bigger turbo, t3 or td04/5 with much more boost (25-30psi) its also going to have a big front mount intercooler to keep the temps down and thinking of making a custom freer flowing inlet.
Ive seen you can get 12mm rotor head from iveco dailys or something, is this the way to go for more fuel?

www.fordwiki.co.uk/index.php?title=Fuel_and_Boost_-_1.8TDThere ya go, I tuned my mk5 td escort van this way, ran about 18psi, turned the fueling up loads made a stealth cone air cleaner, egr deleted, single small capacity exhaust center box and a straight through rear pipe, cleaned out the inlet manifold etc, it went very very well!! You ideas of a larger turbo are a bit ott if I'm honest, it'll be laggy as hell, I kept with a standard size turbo, but a nice turbo technics fully rebuilt one.. I've still a few bits and pieces from that motor if you're interested
