I'm running a 603 pump with tiny 5.5 mm elements, good bit of kit but very power limiting why I'm runnimg the stock turbo for now
I do love the exhaust note, makes evil noises haha

That's friggin awesome!! What gearbox are you running? What clutch and pressure plate? I'm aiming for around 300hp/450nm eventually probaly twims in compound The prefered turbo for these around here with a 7mm pump is a HX40 Super, which should be good for around 550hp with good driveability. Compound setups are generally used to spool -HUGE- turbos to ridiculous boost numbers, se cummins and international engines, merc's don't need 8 bars of boost to make power Many people get the "tiny turbo" part wrong with compound setup idea, all the exhaust gasses has to pass the small turbo, which will result in high exhaust pressure, exhaust temp and turbo temp, and slow the exhaust gasses to the second turbo if you're running something too small. This results in melted exhaust valves, destroyed small turbo, and a big turbo which doesn't want to spin up. Ergo - they're a huge amount of work and money to get correct, and for a 3 bar engine very not worth it. On a more positive note, i can probably help set you up with a 7 or 8mm pump Edit - We need more and better pictures!

At the moment I'm running a c220cdi 6 speed gearbox with a sprinter solid mass flywheel conversion kit/clutch kit, from what a few members on STD forum reckon the gearbkx is good for 400hp, i cant confirm that yet The clutch kit certainly wont live with much more than what I'm running, as I'm only running a 603 injection pump with the stock 5.5mm elements And stock turbo,it allready starts to smell when beating on it, i wasnt worried about the gearbox/clutch side of things, i just needed a cheap/quick/easy drivechain to get me on the road and save up for more power/turbo/clutch Re injection pump, I'm debating either fitting a dieselmeken pump but the cost is putting me off plus i have no experience with his pumps or what i would rather do is fit a bosch ve pump from a 5.9 cummins, me and a friend started looking at doing so, we confirmed it would physically fit and started creating drawings for our machinst but life has currently got in the way, with my lack of turbo size I'm currently not rushing the matter and just paying bills up Re turbo I honestly don't know what ill end up building, I'm not aiming for alot of power, i just want to remove as much lag as possible cue building a compound turbo set up Its currently sat waiting for 6 injector rebuild kits to arrive, one started failing the other day cue excessive smoke/misfire and a police pull over that was fun

Time for a update, Nothing really major in turns of progress I've just been using it, ive just past 5000miles in it but for an old petrol fuel pump failing its been remarkably reliable, thankfully I've since fitted the 606 mechanical lift pump to the 603 injection pump, fully mechanical diesel now Also who doesn't like speed holes I have maxed out the 5.5 mm pump and pinned the turbo, so power is up and much to my surprise the sprinter clutch is already crying enough its not slipped yet but beating on its makes it smell so its only a matter of time I've also actually been drifting for the first time in this car and in two years It was very wet but a cool private day at Birmingham wheels with lots a seat time It did very well, didn't have any problems took the bonnet off to extend each run out to 6-8 laps before coolant temps got to high, I think using the stock Turbo/manifold and sitting on the govner in 3rd was mostly the temperature problem as it would cool down very quickly and never normally overheats

Great build! I've just bought two C250 TD manual's within a week of each other. Hoping to STD one as a daily. Have you seen these guys? Diesel Pump UK They seem to be building up some experience in the STD area.

Diesel Pump UK They seem to be building up some experience in the STD area. I have and they seem to be pretty good but I'm going a completely different direction for my mechanical diesel injection, I'm going to be using a Bosch VE injection pump from a Cummins 6bt, unbelievable Mercedes have already made all the conversion parts and I have managed to find them Ignore the electronic pump is basically a mechanical ve I am just missing the 6bt injection pump and injector pipes which a om604 should supply at lest 4 of them 2 will have to be custom unfortunately, so that's what I'm currently working on accruing and then a big ass Turbo :DD Other than that not much to report Sat next to another diesel e30, only a m51
