Hallo!
i just bought my first japanese car. Surely no 1-year-old boring car!
I bought me and my girlfriend a little Love Shack called Toyota HiAce.
Because of the big Camper Bodywork and the "powerful" 1,6 l Gasoline engine with 67 HP I call it "the Turtle"...
But anyway, on holiday i don´t want to drive fast....
The "Toyota-Shell" is surprisingly good, only the doors have to be welded.
The Engine is now working again, after standing still for over 8 years and will get the "very big service"
The only thing, that disappoints me is the camper body. The wooden frame in the sidewalls is rotten, so i have to replace it and some metallwork should be done at the end, were the entrance is.
But, as a coachbuilder, i will sort this out till summer....
In summer, our plan is, to drive to cornwall for holiday, so, maybe you can tell me about a meeting end of august? Or maybe, somebody here will catch a nice, cold beer, when we are near? ;-)
So, here are some pictures of my little turtle:
Greetings
