Never really got round to making a build thread for the fiesta. But anyway its cosmetically done now, was going to swap a zetec in but obviously insurance would kill me being 17 and considering ive only had my license 2 weeks , I best not risk it. So I had a bit of money saved after some buying and selling for insurance on the fiesta, nowhere near enough to pay it off though so I did the completely 100% sensible thing of buying another car because I'm bored of not working on something, so I bought the dolomite off toreno on here. some pictures of the fiesta as it is now. And some of the dolomite Poo brown everywhere, Plans for that are low, wide (whenever I get wheels, would like to order some custom drilled ones from image wheels as the pcd is curse word and theres next to no wheels in a decent fitment, or of course banded steels which is more likely for the near future) Ill take the tow bar off asap, exhaust is already off was really rotton so I have an excuse for a lairy exhaust for all that power it doesnt have. Twin carbs off a 1500 hopefully. As for paint its very rough so a patina ratty look might be happening but not in the wibblepoo half arsed way hopefully. Or just a decent paintjob depending on what direction i go with this car. But yeah its early days on the dolomite so who knows yet. I should be updating progress from here from now on now that I have made a thread.

That Fiesta looks mad boss! Love it And I also like the shape, and actually the color, of the dolly. Wish we had more of them here in Norway.

You can't really get a dolomite low and wide without major surgery... Concentrate on fixing the galloping rot that car has first *n

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

Got the front done over the weekend, Also went to breakfast at the brewery, great show would recommend. Doesnt look like much difference but it is quite a bit lower at the front than before, the low sump doesn't leave a lot of room for further lowering, will do the backs asap. I also have some wellers that I have had for a while that I will get redrilled to fit. Also took the towbar off which is now on ebay incase anyone wants it.

After 3 attempts of various spring length, finally got the dolomite to a decent height The front is lower than the last update too. That is all for now

Compomitives are gonna look baller basically Not going wide like I originally intended but I feel like the car is taking a different direction to how I felt it would before, not going to go for patina I don't think, so the next major step will be bodywork and paint. On the look out for a splitter

Wheels on, tyre size isnt ideal would have prefered a lower profile with a better fitment but the front cant really go down much more. The sprint wheels are forsale on ebay now if anyone is interested more to come soonish

What size are your compomotives? I have some 14 x 6 cxs on my 1850, 185/60 out back and 175/65 up front. Bit of scrubbing, but it is a bit low... Also, what suspension have you fitted? Having issues with my Gaz adjustables seizing, even after a liberal greasing of everything that moves.

13x5.5 tyres are 165/65 I think, and The suspension is just chopped springs

I test fitted my golf splitter, I think it'll look pretty good

Small update on the fiesta, swapped some wheels around with my dads escorts, I got the gold minilites off the 4 door, the silver minilites went on the 2 door and the revolutions went on the 4 door, I think I like how the gold wheels look on my car better than the just silver ones which is good.

Haven't done much recently but I finally got a daily and insurance so although its not an interesting car I still want to do some stuff with it so the dolomite might be for sale at some point soon to fund that. I'm now on the lookout for 5x100 wheels now having this means I don't have to worry about insurance on the fiesta so that'll be getting an engine at some point, most likely zetec.

Quite a significant update. The Dolomite has been sold and the fiesta is for sale But for a good reason, Ive bought a rear wheel drive converted mk2 fiesta that I will be doing instead now, I'm leaning towards an st170 engine for this. This is what the dolomite looked like jsut before leaving this morning. This is the new fiesta The only thing I have done so far is chuck those 13's on it but soon Ill be doing the bodywork and paint and also starting on the engine when the other fiesta sells.
