Is this stuff all created equal? I've got a stainless exhaust which rattles where two pipes cross over each other so (in textbook 'bodge' style) I bought some eBay heat wrap to prevent it.
Lasted for about a week before turning to dust! Stuff was rated (apparently) to 1022 degrees, any other stuff higher? Seen some titanium wrap on eBay, is it any good?

Reckon that's about the same as I bought - and cooked!

Hi, I would be tempted to put a screwdriver or chisel between them and prise them apart a bit more (don't go mad) to stop them making contact.

Yeah tried that but can't seem to get them to stay apart! Bloody irritating though - if anyone has any other ideas give me a shout. Spoke to an exhaust fabricator and he reckoned he might be able to sort it out but then never bothered getting back to me

Can you not prise them apart and weld a small brace between them to stop them touching?

Hi, yes at first I was going to suggest joining them with the welder. But they obviously move quite a bit and fixing them together might end up breaking them because they can't move.

I wonder whether they might be able to be welded together but exhausts definitely not my thing. Anyone know of a place in High Wycombe where they can weld stainless exhausts? Sounds like that might be the only way to resolve.
