8-)hi i just got a 1.8 kr engine and was wondering will the engine fit onto my 1.8 8v gearbox thanks.

yes, all the same. What management are you going to use? have you got the loom and k-jet bits? Use the 8v clutch if retaining the 8v box

Yep, that's the combo I have in mine. Not that I've actually driven it since 2006. Oh.

you'd do better over on www.clubgti.com/forumdisplay.php?136-16-valve loads of guys have done this, and have some special bits that make it a lot easier. I'd look for an ABF or 9a engine to make it more worth your while. My KR made 152bhp on the dyno, but was often outrun by low spec modern cars.
