It was suggested I turn my Renault 6 into a little van and I find the idea so thoroughly appealing I reckon I'm going to do it. As far as I know, Renault never did a 6 van, though they did create a 4 and a 5 van. Here's a very rough Photoshop of what I'm proposing to do to the little 6. Or maybe I'll go even further... I am aware of the rather excellent PT Cruiser van created by delux and this is the sort of thread I'm looking for more of. PT Cruiser Build ThreadThen there's the also excellent B3 Passat that Baby Cheeses conjured up. Passat Build ThreadI'm interested not just in seeing build threads where people have successfully converted a four door car into a two door van, but in stuff that's actually just plain interesting as a smaller van. So a bit of technical info, a bit of eye candy and plenty of inspiration to get this thing done.

^^^^^ Haha, that was at JAE, proper job of fitting it too the chap seen driving was a real hoot to chat with, my favourite detail was the brass number 2 by the door at the rear.

Ah it was them. That TV program has given us much! I originally had the idea of turning a Camry estate into a camper van for JAE the year before, then using the engine for another V6 swap, but it never came off. The Mr2 Redneck Camper project was just my way of blowing a raspberry at all the people who take car polishing way too seriously. It even made Banzai!

How about this - a 1 of 1 apparently, an E46 BMW, this was in this months issue of Straight Six, upper rear panels are from an 04 Astra van, this is only a small pic from the mag, its not a full article, I'm sure one will be in soon tho.

That Humber works really well, it seems to emphasise the American influence on the styling much more than if they hadn't done it.

Ford actually made Sierra vans for IIRC the Dutch market, it was something to do with taxes. I am pretty sure that there was a thread about one in the readers rides section. Ford did some right hand drive test models for the Irish market but did not take it further - greendragon3 managed to find 2, threads HERE and HEREFord didnt bother to weld up the rear doors, just panelled over the rear glass areas and fitted a flat bed, couple of pics taken from greendragon3's threads

I will get round to finishing it at some point
