Granada type 9 and MT75 clutch, are they the same?

Hi all, i have a 2.9i Granada on an '88 plate that has a type 9 manual fitted, I'm hoping someone can answer a question for me. Is the clutch the same for the type 9 as the later Mt75 gearbox or are they interchangeable? I currently have a clutch which i believe is for and MT75 lowlift so i just want to check before i get the garage to do the job.

The QH catalog lists the plate and cover as being the same part number BUT they only list 1 MT clutch and don't say wether it's the high or lowlift ?
The plates are OK it's just the cover that "may" cause an issue

Has it been converted to manual with a type9?
As i thought the manual mk3 Granada was all mt75 boxes :/

Cheers Bortaf, it looks like ill have to suck it and see although according to the Haynes manual low lift and standard clutches are non interchangeable, ive no idea what the physical difference is, ill have to look when i get the old one out.

They had the type 9 up till about '89, basically the same as the mk2 box but with an electric speedo instead of a cable. After that was the mt75 but they are very rare in V6 2wd form. Mine is a factory original manual but tbh all v6 mk3 manuals were quite rare.

Only seen 2, both ex police, as you say bleeding rare in 2WD !
AFAIK lowlift clutches had "lowlift" stamped into them and highlift were the norm and not marked, aftermarket nowdays all seem to be the normal highlift and the same as the type 9.

Yeah, this one is NOS and marked lowlift so will have to see what happens, I'm sending the flywheel off for a skim so the car will be at the garage for a few days so if i need to source another clutch ill have time.
