Nice contraption! If the tugs we had up at the airport were anything to go by (and some of them looked to be the vintage this one is aimed at being) it needs a sizeable steel plate on the front. a) it's a big bumper to protect the axle and steering linkage and b) it adds a chunk of weight to the front to stop it from skipping and bouncing if you start hauling something that don't want to move. --Phil Hi Phil, we did think about fitting a rather big push plate/weight to the front but came to the conclusion that the Landy would be used more for going off road than pulling planes about It's also returning about 5 gals to the mile! which needs looking at. ooer she's not so economical then lol Lucky there's a tow ball on the rear as you'll have to be towing a fuel bowser to keep the thing going with those types of mpg figures or should I say GPM figures Hi Brandane, yep she is drinking a lot for some reason.. I'd of like to of seen a Turbo Diesel engine fitted but Nigel was having none of it! As a die hard series landy fan this is flipping awesome! Has given me a great idea to use up a load of old bits I have lying around! It's good to know that even a die hard Landy fan likes this build.. In fact no one who has seen it has had a bad word to say about it.. Even a gent who rolled up to the garden center in a totally original Series 1 (1949) loved it. cracking job on that! i think the original bodywork is genius too! one inner wing sandwiched with two outers! Thanks Darren. I wasn't too keen on the body work it came with, it made it look like a beaten up Renault 4 with over sized tyres fitted. Very Cool and definitely in the correct place! Thanks speedle

I never reply on threads on this forum.... but oh $hit Yes. 100% yes. I love this. we must of done something right to get you to reply Thanks mate Love the way that you've got people assuming that Land Rover made a tractor. Love the metal fab work as well. Reckon you should park it in a 'barn', throw a load of sawdust, straw and filler dust at it,band stick it on EvilBay as a 'barnfind' Land Rover tractor. Would love to see the reaction! No need to throw stuff over it, it get's enough dirt and muck on it with all the mowers being serviced/repaired in the workshop! It would be interesting to see the reactions to it on Fleabay though A forest Rover!! Oooo, yes please that is awesome............ nuts, but definitely awesome! We can relate to being nuts Thanks dude. The Landy came in handy on Friday when a set of disc harrows that Nigel had bought blind on Fleabay were delivered... Er.... They didn't look this big in the photo's! A forklift was fun but it could only get the harrows so far before the smooth ground ran out.. So something with 4 wheel drive was needed to drag the harrows the final stretch Oh.. The broken steering has now been fixed..
