I have posted this in the Artists Unite section but feel that it might get missed. And if mods feel this is inappropriate please delete. I intend to update with more details very soon As part of the Fueled Society show I'm hopefully going to be running an art show on the side of my Pinstriping trade stand/stall. The name of this years show is Art Cars so on hearing that I felt in needed an actual art show on the side of it especially as it's being held in the old Tetley brewery in Leeds that is now a museum! I'm rubbish with words and getting down in a post what is in my head (as you will have seen in my build threads lol) but the idea is there. So if any of you are are interested please let me know. And to show your work off better your piece would be best framed and ready to hang. Here's the flyer for the event If your on Instagram follow @fuelefsociety and have a look at #fueledsociety for previous event pics etc www.fueledsociety.com

sounds like an interesting show, any idea what sort of cars they are going to be exhibiting? Literally anything goes from shitters to high end. If you google fueled society you will see a good mix. The previous shows have been in the grounds of a stately home with camping. This year it's different tho, think they have space for 17 cars inside the museum then the rest is on a hard standing outdoors

The things I would like to know for when you post artwork:
Deadline for submissions Minimum/maximum dimensions for artwork (inclusive of frame if appropriate) Glass or perspex in frames - I've shown at places where they've insisted on perspex in the frames on safety grounds. Annoying too because glass looks better Preferred subject material - just cars or lifestyle or bits of automotive. Any costs, such as hanging fees, submission fees, etc. Do we have to submit work to you, or individually. If we have to submit work ourselves do we have to buy a ticket or similar for attendance?
I may not be able to make the show but I would be interested in submitting work and have a number of pieces in stock already framed, all suitable retro and classic themed pieces.

uncleterry would love to show your work at this show Thanks for that tag Nice to know people think of me when it comes to these things! All of my printed/framed artwork is currently on tour with the Guild of Automotive Artists. Its mostly displayed between the midlands and the southeast - Leeds is quite a way to go for us. I'm sure we have some members up that way though, so I can forward a copy of the flyer to our chairman if you feel it might be of interest? I must admit this year I have not kept up with my artwork, let along had anything more recent printed. I really must...

Have we got an answer yet? Is anyone else from here participating? I want to go but I need to know exactly what's going on. I was let down by another event promoter recently so I'm trying to make sure I have all the facts to hand for this one.

Sorry mate I didn't even see this post!!!! If you want to bring work on the day just pay for a day ticket. No commission will be taken from your work or charge be made for showing. As I have already said I've never done anything like this before so wasn't aware that these things needed to be issued. If your still interested and can't make the show could you post the pieces??? ratchart I have just emailed you mate

I may not be able to make it. Brother is waiting on a final date for his house move which I'm helping with - more work for the very capable Xantia - which is going to be on or very nearly on that weekend.
I've got a post run to do tomorrow so I'll find out what the postage costs are going to be, hopefully it won't be too much and I'll be able to send a couple over and budget for you posting them back/me collecting if they don't sell. I've got three I'd like to send that are currently framed, a mk1 Metro, a lowered Ford Corsair and a slightly modified Mini.

Sounds good mate. I will PM my address to you then.
I have now been told they haven't got anything to hang the work off but they are going to provide me with tables. So I will arrange them stood up.

Just got word the five pieces I posted have arrived safely along with some printed promotional stuff. Hope the event goes well for me and or anyone else involved. Shame I can't be there in person as I'll be helping my brother move house, so I'm grateful for the opportunity Slacker has presented me by hosting my artwork.
