Fixing dented lips on alloy wheels

I bought a set of wheels fairly cheaply recently as one of them has a bit of a dent in the lip, its been welded up and looks pretty straight, its just the lip that needs sorting

Has anyone tried fixing this sort of thing at home? can it be done and how would I go about it? I'm thinking if I had something the same arc as the circumference of the wheel I'd be able to knock the dent out..

Alternatively, if anyone knows someone in the West Mids/ Coventry area that could likely sort it then give me a shout too!

Pay a pro to fix it. You will almost certainly end up with a scrap wheel if you try and just hammer it back into shape. You can see the barrel part of the rim is flat spotted, not just the outer lip. It isn't really diy repairable imo

Aye fair enough, that was kinda the way I was leaning towards really. The barrel is pretty much round though there is a little bit just out side of the bead that is a little flat but nowhere near as much as the lip
