I need to get some rear inner arch welding done first but the chap who is doing that has also said he can do torsion bars (the correct way too) so I may get him to lower the rear, I'm also on the hunt for some 205/309/206 front coilovers.
I want to keep it standard bodywork and interior wise, but low on some nice small wheels.. these wheels will be a temp thing for a few months.

Don't like the wheels. Removed the headrests today for more cool. Need some white doilies to hang over them now.

love all the granddad touches its what i wanted to do to my 1.6 auto merit but other half said she wouldnt go out in it. (caravan club sticker was the last straw) have to agree though, as much as i like the gti alloys you have deviated from the theme by "upgrading" the car. tsssk may i recommend a tow bar and a magnetic GB oval for the tail gate for extra grandparent-ness ? p.p.s hook side of self adhesive velcro strip wouldve fixed your tissue sliding issue without holeage

Of course there is the constant rule of this forum: your car your choice. Besides, what's wrong with grandad and lows? Haven't you heard of Viagra?

So today I finally decided to try my SJ4000 as something other than a dash cam, I used it on the outside so I can be like the cool kids and film my wheel. Listen to that little simca ticking away. Ps. Excuse my reversing, I had to keep my phone in one hand with the camera connected via wifi so I could see if it fell off! That and speedlines with no power steering. Right, I spent hours today cleaning, polishing & waxing ready for a show tomorrow. Before After Interior (Front mats to go in when we're there) Few general shots:
