Ok i have inherited an 81 MG BGT, 1.8, twin carbs, black, needs some welding behind the rear light and also in the boot floor. Other than that its in pretty good nick and will pass a test once ive welded it up. Whats it worth as is, and whats it worth tested?
Rubber bumper version, black, rostyles, 108k, manual, manual chopke, twin carb & k&n.

They can be a bit tricky to value and I have a feeling they're starting to creep up A 1980 car would be the last year of production so it sounds like a really late one As a guide, I bought my chrome bumper GT with MOT and a bit scruffy 3 years ago for just over 1800 quid, but I think MOT'd rubber bumper GT's can make that sort of money these days Got any pics? Being a black car may help disguise those rubber bumpers a bit Value without MOT will likely be a fair chunk less as theres plenty of B's out there to choose from

I recently bought a 68 GT that's a 10 yard Car, but solid as a rock underneath, I'm looking for a GT project at the moment to go down a Zetec or MX5 turbo route and have seen the reverse of mine I.e. Look shiny pub cruisers but rotten as pears underneath.
I would say a running project GT would be circa £2k as adam73bgt says above, they were the unloved duckling but getting a rare sight on the roads today so have you thought about keeping it and waiting for a price hike?
I would be interested to see some photos indicating the engine bay condition, battery trays, boot floor and valance etc

All ive been told is about some wleding in the boot floor. Think its been stored for about two or three years. Ill take some pics and post them as soon as i can get some. Thanks for the reply guys.
