You'd have to junk most of the stock 4x4 running gear, as it wont let you go low enough.
That's not to say its impossible of course!
There is 'that' Lada Niva from Oz, plus somewhere I've seen an 'in-progress' bodydropped Nissan Patrol.

With such a square-rigged vehicle it'd end up looking like Postman Pat's van.

Nice Landie! If the Jeep in question to be lowered is a 1984>2000 XJ Series Cherokee, lowering will be fairly straight forward. These Jeeps don't have a seperate chassis, so consiquently there more room under the body. The front uses really long coil springs, you could have some shorter-firmer ones made up by www.coilsprings.co.uk/ . Just watch for swingarms fowling the body as they'll getcloser to it, the lower it gets. At the rear, they're good ol' cart springs. I'd imagine that you'd have to relocate the axel to sit ontop of the leafs rather than under it, like when lowering a VW Caddy. Photoshop anyone???

The trick is getting something like a Nissan Terrano, and putting the shell onto a Navara chassis.
Job Done.

This is my Rickman Ranger, which is Mk2 Escort based, which I've lowered 2" at the rear and 3" at the front. Not what you would call slammed but it's better than it was.Could do with another inch off the rear. Wheels are 7" x 15" to give you some idea of scale.

There was a Susuki SJ thingy lowrider around a few years ago... wasn't it called voodo/devil something...
|
|
... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.
