	Dear carfriends! I have recently bought a steering wheel for my Ford Taunus TC3 (Cortina MK5 in your eyes ). The steering boss didn't fit, so i bought another one of eBay. Should fit all fords. But, you've guessed it, not mine... It seems my little ford has an other size steering shaft than 'normal' fords. The boss i bought of eBay has 36 splines and a shaft of 16mm. I need a boss with 40 splines and a 18mm shaft. Does anyone know where I kan buy this boss, or with other cars use the same steering shaft? Thanks in advance!

	There are 2 sizes of splines on fords up to the sierra, the Mk3/4/5 cortina uses the same splines as mk2 escort BUT the boss is longer on the Mk2 escort so just buy a boss for a cortina there's plenty on ebay just make sure it for the Mk3/4/5 NOT the Mk1/2

	I too struggled to find one for my Cortina. MK1 Fiesta one was used in the end IIRC

	I've bought another boss from eBay, one fitting a VW Santana. Discription said 18.5mm and 40 splines. Fits like a glove! Only some modding needs to be done for the indicator turn-off system (there must be an official name for this..) to work with this boss. Thanks for the help guys!
