hi guys, need some help / info on lowering my 1989 mazda 626 wagon, really don't wanna go the cut springs route, as ive never cut the springs on any of my cars, ive always bought shocks n springs or coillies, but I'm finding it impossible to find any suspension kits or even just lowering springs for this wagon. maybe someone knows if any other springs or suspension kits from other cars will fit ? couple of pics as it sits now, i think you will agree a drop is urgently required....... cheers, Dan

Cheers for the fast response mate,
Yes mate jeep cherokee wheels, perfect offset at 25.4
Thats a good bit of useful info their, what i can see is 626 wagon '92 onwards which I'm guessing became the mazda 6 uses the same springs as mine, as the part numbers are the same, so I'm thinking i will have a hunt down that road.
cheers, Dan

Does yours have struts front and back? I would of thought so. With me GC I made a set of coil sleeves fit the standard struts by cutting the spring seats out making my own. It was pretty low at some point too
Nice looking wagon too, I know someone else who has one. Do you know Ad Tricky on facebook?

Holy bejesus,,! Saw your car in the awards section of RR 2014, seriously liking your style, this boso / shakotan look is seriously schweet,,! Respect to you sir for going with it, when it's relatively quiet over here,! I see youve got a mk1 golf chin spoiler, how did you attach it, pop rivets,? No nails,? Well jealous of the 'no power steering' so much more feel, I see your thread mate, cheers, a nice read, you taking your 626 to RR 2015,? I hope so :-)

Hi mate, thanks, yours is looking pretty darn sweet, love the all white colour coded Ness of it,! What front lip / chin spoiler you got on yours, how did you attach it,? I definitely need one, how are you planning to lower yours,? Ive ordered those direnza springs, but at -35 i need double that or about -60 would be good enough for my area, roads etc, what wheels you running, offset etc, how do they fit,? I'm running 16 x 7 et 25.4, 5 x 114, jeep cherokee wheels, I had to put 5mm spacers on front to clear calipers, and their sitting bang inline with arches, borderline tbh, but safe enough I reckon, also what model is your wagon etc,? You taking it too RR 2015,?

I hope so :-) Yeah I won dare to be different last year, first major show and wasn't expecting it! Scott Andrews ( uncle silvia) has been pressuring me to do it since my first 626 5+ years ago. So when i got 2 year ago he was differently on my case again Better then ratting it i suppose! The chin spoilers held on by nuts & bolts to the metal lower bumper, filled the hole in the middle with a metal plate Yeah the pov spec does go alright, but when you don't have top mounts and trying to park in tight spaces its a bit tricky. I can't make it to RRG this year due now paying for a house, girlfriend & son aha. I'll try next year when it's all painted and refreashed
