Ey up! Thought i'd stick my current project/daily on here for anyone interested in a read/look. Bought my MX5 in April 2014 after owning VW's and haven't looked back since. Here's how it looked when i first got my hands on it: The first mod was to tone down the redness of the rear lights with a slight tint but didn't want them fully black/dark, I masked up the round reflector to leave this the standard colour and tinted the rest: Next job was to remove the plinth from the front and make an offset bracket for the number plate out of an old PC case: It's a little crude, but does the job perfectly:

Next up, a nice subtle mod to the headlights. So, into the oven they went: A lick of paint on the silver part within the unit, has no impact on the light output and gives a nice OEM look. Ordered a GV rep lip from Japstyle and fitted that along with some Cree sidelights: Wheels were next on the list. These are 3sdm 0.03's Specs are 15x8 ET15 Tyres are 195/50/15's And here's how it looked once they were fitted: Screaming for a reduction of arch gap!

So, coilovers ordered and fitted: I then moved onto a few interior parts, replacing the worn and tatty gaitors and gear knob and stereo: Then onto the dials! First of all i replaced the OEM bulbs with a set of LED's and they looked like this: I then went on to remove the green tint from the back of the clocks to give them a white glow instead of green And here's a shot from a local photographer attending my first meet in it:

Decided i didn't like the orange reflector look in the headlights so i set about removing this and replacing it with a silver bulb Before: After: Still not really happy with the dials, I decided to try making my own set so fired up photoshop and came up with these: All printed and layered up, they look like this: Oh, as you can see from that pic^, I also bought a nice momo: I also got hold of a cheap ducktail spoiler but if i'm honest, it's not the best fit and will no doubt be removed/replaced soon, here's how it looks anyway:

After searching for a set of sideskirts since the day i bought the car, I finally got hold of a set around a year later! They were the wrong colour but that wasn't a problem, a swift paint and they were fitted: Also got a set of Toyo Tr-1's fitted as the budget tyres that were on the wheels already were terrible. Who says 5's aren't practical?
