I put the Brown allegro on the bay as you know, did it last wednesday.
Some old bloke rings up and arranges to come and see it. Turns up with his mate who is a 'mechanic'. They are both impressed by it, his mate tells him to buy it. After some faffing he agrees to buy it outside of eBay for 425. He has not brought any dough cos he was only intending to check it out then go back to his PC and have a bid. He agrees to come back the next day at 7.30 with a deposit. Deal done and we shake hands. I turn away CapCruisers mate who was very interested. Fatha_Bo11ox waits in for him to come as organised. Our man of course never comes back, no phone call, no email - nothing. I call him on his mobile - permanently switched off.
Hopping mad, I leave some abuse for him on the eBay auction and instruct him not to bid.
yesterday he contacts me thorough eBay, he is not happy - 'why can't I bid, this is unfair, i'm complaining to eBay etc etc' I tell him that I turned buyers away and waited in for him on his 'promise' and he never even bothered to call me, so he can p1ss right off. now i know his eBay name I add him to my blocked bidders list. He whines a bit more 'I have been on 24hr callout so could not call, my phone has been flat' etc etc.
Anyway the auction finishes and the car sells for 360, our man did not bid cos he could not. The winning bidder gets in touch and all seems well.
This morning, Ebay have pulled the (finished) auction. They quote the abuse I left for our man and say:
"You may not list intangible items or items whose existence cannot be verified such as ghosts, souls or spirits"
!!!!!!
When am I gonna have a hassle-free eBay sale. Every one I have had seems to go up the pipe one way or another! It must be something i'm doing.
