The reverse rake rear screen, you see, is quite appealing to me. It features on a surprising number of cars for a detail so rare. Mazda Carol (sort of, the styling makes it look more pronounced than it is in reality) Ford Anglia Reliant Regal Bond Minicar/Mkf/250G (I'm actually not entirely sure of the model). Citroen Ami As far as I'm aware, the newest production car that made use of it is the Toyota Will Vi.

I'd not noticed the rear screen on the C4, I think that does count so perhaps it's not an obsolete styling choice except for on saloons. The '57 Rambler Rebel looked promising as a contender here. It's a trick! Really good one though, most pictures of this car make it look like it has a 'backwards' rear screen rather than a wraparound. Here's some modified Fords to make up for it.

You gotta love the Consul Classic, at one time or another i've had all 3, 2 door, 4 door and Capri and would love another, preferably a 2 door saloon.

saabsled: So that's how you make the rear end look proportional rather than slightly squashed! Nice. Here's a novelty, still got the slant back screen but it's a pick-up. It's not the only one. Then I remembered another car, the AC Invacar. I have this silly notion of getting one and turning it into a one-seat roadster. Chances of that happening are somewhere between slim and none.

Got quite a soft spot for the 105E/123E Anglia... My first car (best view of me too, even back in 1976!).. Daily driver 1200 Super from about 15 years ago.. The one I should never have sold..

Hmm Had me wondering if buttressed rear window cars like Jaguar XJ-S & 68-75 Corvette & Hondas Delsol CRX (which also had wind-down rear window might fit here).. almost. Another obscure 'almost' I thought you might like to see: Mercury Cougar 83-88.

Offtopic I know, but a couple of times recently I've seen one of these odd-looking things driving around near my place and I had no idea what it was, so thankyou. Proper oddball-looking car.
