There's a couple of spots of oil on my garage floor. I've had a look under the engine and there is lots of grime so can't really tell where it's coming from
Any advice of where to look? What it could be

Usually the oil will be coming anywhere or everywhere from the engine, gearbox or axle, and the best way of finding the source of the leak is to clean the engine first.

I'm thinking the sump but I'm not too sure. I was reckless on the way home from work and got it up to 70.

Mine would sit at 90 all night with no issues.
Get it down the jetwash with a spray degreaser. Clean it up and drive it home. Have tea. If no signs of leaks take it for a drive to get it nice and hot. Put it back on the drive and wait for the drip. You won't even have to jack it up.
Asking where your oil leak stems from is a bit pointless. You'll just get guesses.

Stupid question but the electrics are very exposed along with the other bits of the engine bay. Wont the jet wash ruin the electrics etc etc

Hi, as long as you don't squirt the lance into the back of the alternator, all the electrics will bear the spray passing over them.

If you're worried about spraying it, you should be easily able to crawl under there, wipe it clean-ish with a rag and then see the oil leaks.

I'll try the crawling option.

A trick for finding oil leaks, Give it a good wash, let it dry, then dust over with talcum powder, when its running, any leaks will show up as dark stains on the white powder Ttfn Glenn
