For most people there's a part (or many) that you really want but is too rare or expensive to obtain... Highest on my list is 3 piece Slotmags: Closely followed by these... Opening front 1/4 windows for a Mk2, I did have a set but stupidly let go of them. Last set I saw sold in excess of £200, I'm wondering if it's possible to modify some originals to do the same thing.. Anyway what's yours?? I've seen some super cool old rare VW stuff but there must be more!

mine mostly revolve around ford Y block tuning stuff and early hot rod parts. ive been doing pretty well on buying really rare stuff at not to bad prices though, and all already in the uk. no cheating and throwing lots of money at importing! wanted a 312c1 'factory stroker' motor- got one, for a pittance as well. wanted mercury stamped valve covers- wanted a tri-power setup- and i also ended up with this as a backup- wanted a mustang T-10 with wide ratios which requires a specific fairly rare bellhousing to allow it to fit the Y-block- and thats not getting into my brake and wheel fetishes either... so yeah, not sure what to aim for next really!

I've always wanted a 1960's supercharger kit for the little Ford Anglia. I don't even own an Anglia but the idea of a tiny, what is it 997cc? 3 bearing, non cross flow engine with a supercharger gives me a warm feeling inside.

For a long time it was a Nissan LZ engine : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_L_engine#LZ_.28competition.29 ... I even found the cylinder head and ancillaries once, but it was gone before I called (which means it must have sold within 2 hours of being on the site ) Now I have no holy grail parts... other than a car that works.

An Alpine 7909L - Even the lesser 6 button models fetch good money these days. Would love one for my Barge but funds just won't stretch. Who knows what one is worth today?

I want to put this B series engine into a road car but since it is unique and in a museum I fear it is unlikely I'll ever come across one... What is up with it? Some kind of forced induction? With the carbs on the outside?

For me it would have to be any CVT bits for my Panda Selecta, especially a brand new powder clutch (drool)

A pair of Scheel seats for my Escort. My butt isn't worth that much though.

For me it would be a Nissan VVL engine. I would then buy a K11 to put it in and be rad!
