Evening all, quick question.
I have 2 HIF44 carbs in front of me, of different ages. The first has 3 pipes on it, fuel inlet, crank breather inlet and fuel/vapour outlet, this runs under the wing to the carbon canister.
The 2nd carb is older, has the fuel inlet and the gas inlet, but nothing else. Is this normal? I'm worried that petrol will explode from it if something goes wrong! Lolll

Have you got a pic of the carb at all? as far as I know it should have an overflow or return of sorts

Am I an idiot? Lol I've just taken a photo of the carb, rather than a vent into a pipe, I'm assuming it vents to the air through the hole above the SU logo? This looks like it has had a cover over it at some point as well which has snapped off under that flat headed screw?  |

Lower, left hand pipe is the fuel inlet. Larger one to the right and up is a for a crankcase breather. The overflow is probably out through the air filter mounting face which is also the float chamber vent.
