Project Stan hotrod parts - chassis/body

I've mulled over this for a while now and have come to conclusion i'm doing too much spannering and not enough driving......a feeling brought on by my long term covin 911 project. After the covin, i don't want to get into another long build so with heavy heart i've decided to part with project stan.

Project Stan comprises:

A Standard 8 full rolling chassis with buff log book and new V5 in my name. Its the unmolested chassis, front/rear axles & suspension, steering column and box, wheels, brakes, fuel tank. The chassis is solid and has enough of the main components to keep the ID.

A complete, fairly solid but patina'ed 1938 Austin Ruby shell, complete with glass, doors, bonnet, grill, front wings (no bumpers, rear wings or spare wheel cover)


All pictures are in my build thread retrorides.proboards.com/thread/163414/1947-standard-8-hotrod The plan in my head was to channel the body over the chassis, fitting the small engine back behind the wheel line in an attempt to replicate some tradition hot rod styles.

I'd like to get back what it owes which is £600 for the chassis, and £500 for the body. Prices are firm

Everything is stored in south Birmingham

WOW! I have been following this build since you started and thought it was the ideal project.

would you be willing to sell chassis and body only? that was the only part our plans differed on.

engine is buried right at the back of the garage so couldsn; get it.

Deposit taken on the chassis and body, so provisionally sold.

yep, got the complete drivetrain package. half-heartedly keeping it unless somebody shows some serious interest. Lots of people ask but never follow up when i reply.
