Have been offered a c plate 924s in px for the Mgb. Quite tempted but don't know what I don't know!
Any tips would be appreciated. Will keep you posted...

DO IT! I've always regretted selling mine.
Watch out for hot/cold start problems and leaks through the rear lights/boot seal.
Think the majority of panels are galvanised so rust indicates a repair?

Ive had the 924 and 924s, as above regret the day I sold them! Never had any issues with either, only good times!
