Finally got to go for a decent drive in the Sprint on Sunday. It's quite a change driving a classic from my daily, getting used to all the squeaks and knocks it makes had me on edge for a while! Anyway I went over to the Crotch Cooler meet in Alton and luckily some nice person was taking photos and got a couple of great ones on my way in. Really happy with how it looks at the front now, just need to see if I can sneak the rear down a bit lower without anything rubbing against anything else. Also I've just decided I might change my mirrors, maybe to some black/grey bullet style ones.

It was good to see you at the Scramble b3nson. What a place to go! I have to say that the car did not dissapoint me in the flesh at all. It's lovely old girl which actually looks a little better off camera! The wheels and the steering wheel are a lovely touch as is the MK1 Golf spoiler. It is good to see that you are getting along well with the combination of Yoko A539s and Gaz shocks. I found the former great on the Dolly and the Gaz shocks great on my MX-5. Regarding your starter it may be worth fitting it a starter relay into the ignition/solenoid feed. It will make it more reliable to start and take the stain off your ignition switch. I believe MGs came with them but not many Triumphs did surprisingly. On my Stag and Dolly it got rid of the "click, click" and make them start perfectly everytime.

So it's the end of the line for this thread, not only because photobucket have decided to ruin themselves but also because the car is sold! Should be picked up by it's new owner next week, all I need to do is get the original wheels swapped on and refit the bumpers. I'll be sad to see this one go but the burden of keeping such a rare car in such good condition was starting to weigh heavily on me and in my opinion the moment you start questioning your enjoyment of actually using a car is the moment it should go!
So instead I've bought a track ready Honda Integra Type-R, which is quite a difference but somewhat of a dream car for me as I've wanted one since I was 18. Also it's just about retro enough that I can keep posting on here!
