Been threatening to start a build thread on here for a while and now that I'm actually getting a chance to start into it again, I thought I'd start sticking up a few pics.
After getting buying it about 3 years ago, it hasn't really moved to far up until recently, but I'll stick up the progress so far (apologies for all the pics in one go).
But anyway...here it is when I bought it...
And here's it in my brothers garage, before he moved house (to one without a bloody garage!)
Got the donkey out of it...
A few rough bits, but nothing terminal
And made a wee bit more room for the SR20...
Rebuilt the front suspension with rosejointed upper wishbones, spax coilovers and modified a set of Renault Savannah vented discs to fit the hubs.
Also got a set of 4 pot calipers off a 200sx to be fitted, but haven't the bracket machined yet.
Since that though, I stripped it all down, got everything powder coated and built up again.
The guy who's painting it decided to have a blast at the gt vents and you can also see the SL grill I got for it.
Although I've since got my hands on a GT one.
Also picked up a set of euro spec tail lights, all red instead of orange/red.
Dunno if they'll pass MOT, but i can always stick in the old ones.
New panel made for the boot to fill the gap made by the fuel tank and the original filler hole filled, going to go with an alloy tank in the boot.
Bodywork getting there...
First lick of paint in a dark grey 2k that the painter had lying about...
And the engine is back from a rebore and rebuild
Trial fitted the intercooler and radiator
And I tried the steelies on to see how they filled the arches
That's as far as I've got until now, hope to get the engine in after Christmas, get the 4HA axle fitted and stick up a few updates.
