Looking for a bit of advice/ first hand experience
My RX7 has a 90's vintage aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system fitted and while its given me no troubles so far I don't entirely trust it. Partly because the wiring for it is a bit of a mess and also the wireless remote for it died while the previous owner had the car so it now sports a homebrew switch for the immobiliser hidden away. Which indicates that its at least partly not working entirely as originally intended
I'm slightly concerned it could be putting a drain on the battery as well, which could become more noticeable as I'm not using it every single day at the moment
So really I'm just after general advice on the way to go about removing old alarm systems if I were to attempt it?
Theres a great mass of wires under the dash for it so I would guess being methodical and tracing wires back to where they splice into the factory wiring would be a good way to go about it?
Any advice appreciated, cheers
