I've Been meaning to do a quick thread on this:
Round 1
Bought as a non-runer after a couple of shandys one evening; it seemed the obvious thing to do. Anyway, a little body modification, a few wires twisted and a can of contact cleaner later and it was sorted. With an all important top trump speed of 14mph on the flat and slowing to a walking pace (at best) on any kind of an incline.
Round 2
It came with a spare motor so I thought it rude not try to add it to the drive train. I did also try to pep things up by going from 24 to 36v, bu the electrics threw a little bit of a wobbly so that idea was scrapped. Speed on the flat now 18mph and also better up hills.
Round 3
As any full grown kid knows electrickery is all well and good, but if it doesn't brmm brmm noises it just doesn't cut-it. Latest solution identified:
