A peurgeot 807 with a loose front subframe, scarey as fook ! but i take it you meen scarey fast ? Been in and built a few RS turbos back in the day with HUGE turbo lag and smack in the face accel and torque steer that made it feel like a bucking bronco, so anything not well set up is scarey, anything propperly set up tends to to feel slwoer than it actually is and safer.

Two up at a Gps verified 73mph downhill is up there as scariest moment as we were both doubled up laughing and trying to overtake stuff at the time . Fastest/cheapest undoubtedly my old 9000 with an enormous Holset Vgt turbo and 50shot of nitrous to get it going . 480whp and from 80-150 never beaten apart from bikes Tartan blanket and national trust stickers in the back was an epic sleeper and I kept a pipe in the drivers door pocket to puff on if I came up against a quick car on the motorway . V10 r8 was best scalp coming out of the m6 toll

Many years ago..... Austin A35 van with Fiat 1600 twin cam (40IDFs etc) jacked up rear with big rear wheels, crappy ancient tyres and the original drum brakes. I have no idea how we survived that one.... I think it was just so obviously reluctant to stop or go around corners even three 19 year petrol heads were afraid of it!
Seem to remember my first car, a Triumph Herald 1200 with 47 snorting horses being pretty damn scary on Turkish crossplies even at very low speeds.
More recently..... full fat Audi A8 4.2 Quattro. Properly fast car and really quite scary in the wet on dodgy "Triangle 968" tyres...... You can buy this one!

Scarily fast has to be my mate Martins Citroen Ax 1.6 16v turbo, 350+bhp it's eye wateringly fast, scary and just wrong lol. It kept up with a 996 turbo up to 150mph (on a private test track of course, not something stupid like the A3)
Some of the sheds that my mate has when I worked at Halfords in the early 00's were scary by their lack of mot's, grip or amount of rust. Delta turbo, Uno turbo, Cavalier Sri, RS Turbo Combo, Sierra 2.8 estate, the list went on, and the guy drove them like they were on fire (occasionally they were lol ) Pre eBay days really so all bought from the pub/word of mouth.

MR2 Turbo Rev1 just plain scary at anything over 80 as the front end lifted at 140 it could swap lanes with out moving the steering wheel. The way it loved swapping ends it would spin just because it was Tuesday.

One of my customers has a TVR 350i somewhat improved and shoving out 350+ BHP through a chassis thats half galv scaffolding with not much steering, less brakes, everything rattles and most of the electrics only work on days without a Y in them! The owner is terrified of it and swears he will sell it the day he STOPS being scared of it! Every road test frightens the living s**t out of me! But it does sound lovely!

my old beetle was scary at night, doing 40+ mph in heavy rain with rubbish, slow wipers and dim headlights that didn't want to work half the time.

Cheap, scary, fast? There comes a point where you sort of become numb to speed and stupidity kicks in so scary is just not...scary... So... Without coming across as an , I have been fortunate enough to pilot some fairly rapid machinery but the one that made me stop and go...gosh... Was a bright yellow 934 Turbo. Was going to swap it for my RS2 which had a genuine 440hp at the wheels.... Turned up at the pre arranged private test track gave it a quick look over and then went for a test drive. Typical Porsche ride, but didn't feel that inspiring, in fact was a little slow. "It's not very fast is it" said I. "You will have to push it a bit harder" was the owners response. "Ok, let's see what happens if I change down a gear HOLY SHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT" Lets just say it was set up as a Midnight Run car with a massive turbo and lag that was beyond comical. Saw "22 mph" and was still pulling hard when the stupidity of what we were doing kicked in over the manic laughter.... Let's just say that a deal was not done simply because I wanted to use it as a daily and at normal speeds it was horrible. So.. Cheap? My RS2 stood me in at £12k and it was a one for one swap - this was in 2002- so for the speed and scary factor I think that fits the bill. P.

Speed and frightening don't have to go hand in hand. I was driving a Peugoet 106 1.5D for a while. The back axle was held in by gravity, so if you chucked it round corners it would steer from the rear. Not fast but frightened passengers.

I had a couple of standard Renault 5 GT Turbos about 25 years ago, they were great fun always loved the steering feel of them when they were newish cars. A pal had a chipped one, I think it was about 195hp. That was epic in 3rd gear when the turbo came in Very scary in 1st and 2nd though.

I've just sold my CL500 Merc for £2600 - scary fast and my mates 3k E55 is even quicker!
Fastest thing ever is my pal Ian's MK2 Escort RS2000 - street legal, 550bhp and runs low 10's - Took me on the 60m journey to Brands Hatch once - Blows supercars away at any speed but scary as fook! A brick was not designed to do 160mph +

Scariest .... Probably a Ford Ranger i used to have as a works van, fitted with big deep off rd tyres ... Absolutely lethal in the wet would lose it on roundabouts without warning .... Horrible to drive ....
Fastest .. A mates very highly modified Supra turbo, running 450+ bhp .... The only car i have driven that i never floored the throttle...... I know my limits ....... And value my license .......

3 for me would be:
MG ZR 1400 on eagle f1s and £150 coilovers wound down. Flat out 110 was your maximum, but cornering and grip was unreal. Owned it 3 years, and in 90k miles don't think I had to slow down for a corner ever. Stuck like poop to a blanket.
200sx running 360bhp ish. The sheer laughable boost, and manic way it accelerated. Foot down in 2nd, nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Whoosh! Hedge/central reservation/straight line again. Redline. Grab 3rd. Do it all again.
£3k car at the time, remember having a silly race with a 911 of some flavour, and a kid in his mums 12 month old st3 focai mountune.
Finally, the £400 Alfa Romeo 146 tspark. 4 months test, winter hack. Not a chance of passing ever again. Wouldn't even go 1st to 2nd.
5k miles, 4 months, beat it to death everywhere. Probably the most unhinged thing on earth c/o liftoff oversteer, dodgy bushes, and sheer bonkers amounts of grip... Until it let go. My only ever visit backwards into a hedge.
