Helping out a friend of my parents who has very bravely decided to stop driving. The lady has never sold a car before, so as a favour I will be dealing with all enquiries, viewings, etc.
As per the title, the cars a limited edition Peugeot 205 Roland Garros 3-door, which appears to be a 1360cc XS (85bhp, close ratio gearbox), in a unique metallic green colour, with additions including electric windows, central locking and lovely half leather interior.
The lady is the second registered keeper, with first being her husband, and the car has just under 33,000 miles, with all MOT’s to back up the mileage. There is also an extensive, but not full, service history, mainly from the local independent garage. It’s MOT’ed ‘til August 2016.
Did I mention the low mileage?

All the pictures were taken by me a couple of weeks ago after giving it only a quick wash down and brush out. It looks pretty stunning even with that, but a decent detailer could work further miracles I’m sure.
Externally the condition of the car is superb with just the odd minor ding and a couple of shallow scratches to the bumper corners. I could not find any significant rust, and I know a bit about where 205’s go, having had a couple, one of which was a pretty crusty. The alloys are the originals and in good condition, with sound tyres.
The worst bit of the bodywork is to the bootlid above the lock where there has been some careless key fumbling.
The interior is even better than the exterior - totally original/complete and in superb condition with no rips or tears, even down the factory tailored mats trimmed in the same material as the seats, and with the original Peugeot radio/cassette in the dash (complete with code card!).

The engine bay looks original and sound (that is without any kind of cleaning or tarting up). The underneath is in a similar mucky but honest and solid condition.
After I taking the photos I had a quick run in it and it drives beautifully, as you’d imagine a 33k mile well-looked-after car would, like an eager little puppy with the TU engine (which should be the alloy block version, but I forgot to check) and close ratio ‘box.
Now I think this car has got to be worth SOLD, because there can’t be many 205’s with this combination of spec, mileage and condition.
(Also contrary to my earlier ‘what’s it worth?’ thread, there is no rush to sell afterall)
All the above description is my opinion as a car enthusiast, but I am not a mechanic by any means. Anybody interested should carry out their own inspection, with a suitably qualified person if necessary, to satisfy themselves the description is accurate.
There car can be viewed in the village of Farnsfield, near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Please contact me by PM if interested or you would like any further information.
