Looks like a good'n Charlie. Just needs some love. Are you far from where you picked this up? It was about a 2hr drive down there, but abit of a day trip with the family, horrible driving a mouldy car back, loads of the bits of the interior where black too! It was wondering lanes on the Motorway, witch turned out to only be flat tyres.

They are cleaning up pretty well! One of the issues I've had cleaning old Ford seats is the foam underneath the fabric goes all crumbly, you get the fabric nice and clean, only to find the filth from the foam starts bleeding through! And dog hair! Don't get me started. I've had a few cars over the years covered in it. Never got it all fully out, even after a few 'deep cleans' I still found dog hair. Body work looks remarkably good though.

Next job to apart from sripping the centre console out etc, as it was soo dirty that i just removed it and left the cleaning for a bit!!! There was an annoying knock from the rear where the exhaust hanger was banging the chassis! While re-alining it the backbox fell of, was attched with a sleeve of metal and a dubalee clip, so sourced a cheap standard box for now, purely as i wanted to keep it on the road, playing exhausts can wait another day. But while using my works inspection pit to replace the exhaust, it gave me the chance to have a good look underneath! And its in fantastic condition, marginaly better than my mk3 was, with just a front crossmember to clean up! Its had attention to rear of sills and arches filled, but have some left over arch repair sections from the mk3 to make them minty. In the mean time I had sourced a excellent rear bumper, for £20 quid locally, brought it before the car, just need to collect it! Thanks for looking, updates to come thick and fast, to bring you guys update.

A Mk4 estate! I was brought home from the hospital as a baby in a blue diesel one (D799AAN - you still out there?)
These were another bit of Ford street furniture that vanished overnight without noticing. Best thing about this is that you've saved the cooking models rather than yet another XR3i (nice though they are, the non-sporty ones need saving too). Green Mk3 looked good.
The cabin looked utterly grim....amazing how much of a difference it'll make inside once it's had a good clean up.

Still bringing everyone update, whilst working through a never ending list of niggley jobs! Plan A was allways to try the BBS reps on the Mk4, there a rare 14" wheel, pretty narrow, but work well with rear spacers and allows the car to go low! I had spent many hours refurbing them for the mk3, that i could let them go just yet without atleast trying them..... Potential look?! New car parts make me happy, no more annoying exhaust knock [/Replace bonnet stay grommet and retaining clip, still available from Ford!
