Pearlescent Yellow South African import Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport UK registered as OKH368V was stolen from outside a friend of the owner’s house in Burnley Road, Colne, Lancashire at around 10pm on Monday 2nd May 2016.
The car was seen being filled up at Asda in Colne (Swinden Retail Park) with the fuel being paid for using a card with pin activation. The police are aware & are taking their time investigating.

The car is a South African import & is running an all steel Redline built 1760 Crossflow of twin 40 Weber carbs. The car has a 4 speed TranX straight cut gearbox, Atlas axle with plate LSD. It’s fitted with a Tony Law exhaust manifold & has Bilstein front suspension & Koni’s on the rear. The car is fitted with a black front spoiler & has an RS boot spoiler. The car has an alloy fuel tank & battery with kill switch located in the boot. The car is fitted with Capri laser 4 spoke alloys. The interior of the car is standard Sport seats retrimmed in leather.

It may sound stupid but I am super hopeful that this will get found.

Paying for fuel that's been pumped into a stolen car with a pin verified payment leaves me hopeful. The fact it sounds like it's been seen is also a bit of hope.

Maybe but its considerably quicker looking at the CCTV footage from the station.
Unless the payer was wearing a crash helmet, his face will be clearly visible.
