Hi!
Thought I should document my progress and the amount of money I spend somewhere and decided to do it here so I can show you guys at the same time!
In this Thread you will not find the most expensive parts, tools or nicest finish. Instead just how I decide to do it while trying to have as much fun as possible relative to the price and time spent in the garage (Its already summer ). Follow my Instagram @awilsooon for more cool shiz.
At the time of writing the bike is already a "Cafe Racer" but I will divide up everything in a few different posts until we reach present time. Let's Go!

Bought the Bike from a firm that sells crashed vehicles from Insurance matters. This is how it looked then:
I will write down what everything costs in this thread, this will be in Euro so you I'll have to convert it yourself to something that you are more familiar with
Price of bike = 740€
Transport costs to get it home = 60€
------------------------------------
Totalt amount of money spent so far = 800€
On my way home with it!
Here it stands in my garage:
The Bike had only 38 000 Kilometers on it!
At this point I started to fix everything that I needed to start it, here is a new clutch cover mounted and a few other boring things done.
Let's start it!
And hey it started at last! Had some problems with the ignition before but who cares about that.
After this I started to do everything that needed to be done for it to pass inspection, for example remove all turn lights (Older than 1984 do not need to have), change the headlight, fix the seat, Weld a small crack in the block from the impact & make an stator cover (A good friend helped me with this, he has his own TIG weld) etc. This is all pictures I have from this phase:
But I can assure you that you didn't miss anything anyway! The fun is yet to come
Also had to measure and document that the frame is straight and try to convince inspection about this. You have to do this on all bikes that have been in an accident here in Finland.
And after this I went to the inspection office and everything went smoothly! Except the weather as it started to snow heavy when I was on my way back home, still happy though!
Material and beer for the stator cover = 50€
Filter, oil, sparkplugs & other small bits = 45€
Inspection and register plate = 170€
------------------------------------
Totalt amount of money spent so far = 1065€
Now the project can start!
To be continued!
