I'm getting married on the 8th of September and have a bit of a problem. I want to wear a brown three piece pinstripe suit. My folks have flipped their flop about this idea and think its nuts. What do you decerning ladies(I know there are one or two of you aout there in retro land) and gents think.

Yeah, but then you'd need a white suit......and what would the guests make of having to sit cross-legged on the floor whilst singing 'Give Peace A Chance' (sooner that than 'Oops Upside Your Head)....... ;D

Go for the brown pinstripes mate....it's YOUR day, as long as the future SWMBO's happy, and you're happy, that's all that counts.

Congratulations, it's also the same day that Prince (ss) Maz is due.
Just coming up to year on, I wholeheartedly recommend it.
The best man and I turned up to ours in King Maz (of course) the bride refused to get in a 2dr.

As for the suit if you and your fiancee like then you should have it - it's your wedding.

The best advice I can offer otherwise is to ENJOY THE DAY.

didn't/don't mean to be offensive dude, but brown and pinstripes are both fattening colours and need to be on lanky people (IMO) to work well. in saying that, a good tailor (like saville row good) can pull off anything
just be careful is all i say, you want to look slim and sexy on film and such

My days of looking slim and sexy are long gone (I think i got about 15 mins when i was 14) I will heed your advice and although i cant stretch to saville row i do intend this to be the best item of clothing i have ever bought.

Thanks for the moral support with my dillemma guys, and the wishes of good luck. Had a chat with my old man this morning and he seems to have mellowed his views so i'm going over with Nikki to have dinner with my folks tonight. Now i wonder if he'll be so understanding if i suggest that i could fill up their garden with rusty old tat.
