random china ebay airtool thread help

any ideas on the thread on the right hand connector ? tried several local places , not bsp , npt , or metric (left side is bsp for comparison)

right just had a brainwave and tried a vw headbolt....seems its m11x1.5

so where will i find m11 -bsp adaptor?

How can it be M11x1.5 when the od measures 11.74 ? Most likely M12x1.5. Slightly undersized

well lets put it this way...the m11 threads in lovely , i don't have any other threads thst fit it

NPT is American Standard thread sizes.
BSP obviously is UK standard.


Have you got an industrial air equipment supplier near you,

Hydraulic,pneumatics and plumbing seem to have thier own versions of 'thread sizes' so although a standard bolt seems to fit,it doesn't tend to fit properly!

Chinese are great ones for taking a standard,non tapering thread, and gluing it together with thread sealant. Pneumatic joggler of eastern origin that I have,had an M12x1.5mm hose end glued in with sealant before I changed it.

Found this out the hard way ......

tried 3 decent looking places and nothing , didnt have any idea what it might be either ...came home and went through the ole nut n bolt box to see if i could suss it and a vw head bolt screwed in nice , i don't doubt it might be something else but for now all i know is m11 x1.5 goes in nice

didnt remember to check how the bolt compares the 11.75mm measuremnt as per the photo

Buy some thread gauges? Its not M11 unless you have your caliper zero wrong

An M12 bolt will measure slightly less than 12mm across the thread's major diameter to allow it to screw into an M12 nut. If an M12 bolt has a shank that will measure 12mm.
