It's always surprised me how lightly built these cars are, my old Ford Cortina was built like a 4x4, and made a fraction of the power. I guess that's why you can throw these things around like a red haired rag doll; built to be nimble.

I live just down the road from Earls Barton, what vehicle doe Chris smoke about in, will give him the random stranger flash/toot/wave/grin if I see him! Gives me something to do! Hi Matti, Most days I'm trundling about in my Mokka like an old(er) bloke. But occasionally you will see me tearing about in my MR2 Mk2, making jolly good use of the 325 horses under my right foot. 2GR-FE V6 Sweet! You see a homeless looking dude throwing a silver Fabia about and waving.......that'll be me. Sorry to hijack Grenade. Hope any otherwork is more forgiving to you!

It's all good guys The Subaru? I totally fixed it. Four lower control arm bushings and both rear wheel bearings. The car is really quiet now, hadn't realized how much noise those bearings were making until I changed 'em. It took hours of work but whomever buys it, will be much happier with their test drive

I like it, but all I want to do is get it out in the grass and spin it around, beating the hell out of it. Wifey says no because it'll be worthless if I wrap it around one of the trees back there...

Another thread comes to a close. This car was too much of a good deal to pass up. I worked my butt off on it and got it back on the road and running strong. I put it up for sale, the first person to look at it, I think they expected a mint grandmother's car because they walked away without making an offer. The next guy that came- was a Subaru builder, he had several Scooby powered dune buggies and a few wagons sitting around. He took one look around it, hadn't even heard it run yet and made an offer. It was the right offer, because he now owns it. He loves it. I'm glad it found it's way to a new home, where it will be parked amongst it's own kind. "Off to the Scooby farm"
