I've recently changed my engine, and when I started it, it made this noise that's on the video..I was thinking that the hydraulic tappers might me the cause, but I'm not sure. It's a VW Lupo and it has new 5w30 Platinum Longlife Oil as recommended by VW.

hard to tell from the video , its pretty common for stood engines to tick for a while so take it for a run and see what happens

As above, trying to diagnose from a video clip is nigh on impossible to be accurate. Use a stethoscope to listen to the internals, you'll soon track it down that way. What is the mileage on the replacement engine and do you know it's history?
If you don't have a stethoscope a long metal bar or big screwdriver will do, but use caution not to get clothing or hair into moving parts. Stethoscopes are cheap and I can never understand why more people don't have them, they're one of the simplest ways of checking engines.

As above, or use about 1m of hose pipe to listen to around the engine, will help narrow it down to top end bottom end, left middle or right, if it's top end you can probably narrow it down to which cylinder. A stethoscope would be better though. Keep fingies, hair, clothing, tools away from moving belts and parts though please.
Top end will likely be followers or tappets if it's been standing a while or neglected (especially at the stated mileage), bottom end could be be little end or gudgeon pin etc.

as long as the oil light goes off like it should theres no harm running it up the road , ive had them take 20 mins to shut up , maybe they get sticky when stood for a looong time

as said as long as theres oil pressure take it for a gentle run, when i changed the engine in my saph, it took around 40 minutes of idling until the lifters quietened as the engine hadnt ran for a long time previous

The above comments remind me of a Cavalier I bought with a horrendous tapping from the top end. When I picked it up I drove literally half a mile down the road and it suddenly stopped - I ran that engine for a further 75k and it never re-appeared.
Don't be tempted to bung a flush or anything into it unless you're sure the engine internals are clean. Better to give it a few frequent oil changes to let fresh oil detergents clean any gum away gently.
Sausage refers to the stated mileage - am I missing something as I can't see where the mileage of the engine is given? Or am I just reading that wrong?
