Okay, I'm totally broken at the moment, so I'll keep this brief. I have to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone that came and supported us on our first year, at the first show we'd ever run. Especially those that organised club stands and Retro Rides groups. I want also to say that whilst I might be the 'face' of Retro Rides, Keefy did SO MUCH work on the Saturday, the sprint only ran because of him and Rainking. Which brings me on to Rainking and our super car parking/club steward Abi, who along with Bill, Henk and the lovely Tash kept the show running. Also Larry and his other half (whose name I didn't get) for being such a great help on the Friday and for making the signs and supplying BBQ activities. Big up to Bryn as well, for a great commentary on the Saturday. Also to Frank for organising the Style & Attitude awards whilst the rest of us were running around fighting fires. Also Alan Thomas for keeping me company for most of the weekend and being very entertaining conversationalist . Thanks to everyone who took photos, so I can actually see what our event was all about I'll be updating the show website with some photos, also I'd like some for an RR gallery if anyone wants to contribute. The prize winning cars will also be posted on the site ASAP along with the track times when we can get them online. We learned a lot this year. So... on wards and upwards... -David

'twas a pleasure to be a part of it.... I've got loads of stuff on my camera (which is at home) yesterday was a bit stressful for different reasons, as some of you know. I'll let you have the Soapbox vids that Bryn took, the Style and Attitude award winner pictures and the plethora of other stuff I've got so you can take what you like for the Gallery

It's all calmed down a bit now, and fingers crossed it's not as serious an issue as was first thought. But we'll know more in a few days. Thanks

I haven't said it elsewhere... so huge thanks to everyone involved. You have every right to be very proud of yourselves and your achievement.
Only really ended up being over at the sprint/top end of the circuit on Saturday, but Rainking certainly did a 'professional' (and patient!) job - so much so I thought he was one of the Mallory staff until we had a few introductions while queueing up.
I have to confess and apologise that people may have heard me being a bit whingy at times, pretty unreasonably really - I was pehaps a little stressed at balancing car-related fanaticism, and the whole family thing.

Fantastic show guys, really enjoyed it. Sprint track was awesome fun, the relaxed attitude of the staff was great and we even won the soapbox challenge - shame there weren't more entries though I'll definitely be back next year

On behalf of the Datsun Owners Club, we'd like to say thank you to all you guys who organised the event! We felt 'at home' with like-minded retro fanatics. Hope everyone got home ok, and didn't get caught up in the M40 fiasco.....

I certainly enjoyed it the day I went, although it's a shame the rest of the VW club I'm in had to pull out. Still, I'll be whipping them into shape for next year! Only had one small issue which wasn't hotwire's fault, so I won't mention it here. ;D Good job all round, people!
