So these three looneys are back on our screens, if you are lucky enough to have Amazon Prime, or are friendly enough with someone that they let you sit round there house in the evening and watch it. Personally i don't have Amazon Prime, and as i only watch two or three hours of TV a week i don't feel the need to get it. Luckily however i do know a telly addict with it, so i did get to watch it. My weekly TV viewing has now gone up by 50 - 33% depending upon whether its a two hour tv week, or a three hour tv week. But never mind that, was it any good? Well, to be fair i was concerned that as much as i enjoyed old Top Gear with these three idiots, it had become a bit of a parody of it's self, and i had a feeling that this would be more of the same. Although there was definately an element of stupidity about the show, it was the same sort of stupidity that you get whenever you have friends together who know each other extremely well. Toward the end of Jeremy Clarksons, James May, and Richard Hammonds reign of terror on Top Gear, i felt that as much as i liked it, it had become too far fetched, and too stupid, but thankfully that doesn't yet seem to be the case with The Grand Tour. It is a very similar programme to Top Gear, but it's more like when these three got together in the first place, and not really like how it was in the end. I hope the opening sequence was kind of a one off, as, as much as i like Mustangs and i do, making an opening sequence that lasts nearly five minutes every week might become tiresome. Even if it is the most expensive ever seen on the small screen costing an alledged monsterous £2.5million to shoot it in the desert and featuring 150 vehicles, 2000 people and getting what i presume is the BLue Angels to fly over all to 'I can see clearly now' being belted out be the Hothouse Flowers! Like i said, great opening sequence, but i don't need to see it every week! As for the rest of the show, i don't really want to go into specifics incase anyone reading this hasn't watched it and wants to, but it was pretty good in my opinion, like i said, it was like the Top Gear of old, it has all the good bits, but without the 'forced' stupidity, but leaving the 'natural' stupidity that these three have between each other. So Thankyou BBC for sacking Jeremy Clarkson, i think it's been for the best. It's pretty obvious that Amazon has thrown a massive budget at this show, and i reckon it'll be worth watching. As for the last series of Top Gear, c'mon BBC, pick up the slack, you can do better than that tripe you put out back in the summer, get better presenters, (Who are already friends preferably) ditch the forced stupidity, and make the show we all want to see... One like The Grand Tour! Thoughts?

Let's face it, for the last few years, TG had been less about cars (well cars that ordinary Joes like us could afford) and more about 3 mates doing tomfoolery. I don't know about you lot, but I loved it that way and watched it FOR that. And so did my missus!
So now we have the same 3 mates doing the same thing, but with a bigger budget and less constraints and PC-ness.
Welcome back boys, i've missed you!

It's the same as top gear, same sections, same jokes.
Hated the audience and the standard ha Americans! Jokes.
Honestly it feels like they're trying too hard. But saying that I will keep watching and I have high hopes that it will get better.

Regardless of the presenters and the content being way above Top Gear, the production/ editing/ cameras etc etc were curse word hot. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into making it good, whereas Top Gear just thought to carry on with the same old same old

I enjoyed it, was a bit nervous as I didn't know what to expect but the opening scene nailed it and got rid of all my concerns.
Mr Clarkson lookee a bit worried at the end lol.

I think it was pretty good - disliked the silly joking around with the Americans but other than that it was pretty good. At the end of the day i did not find all of the old top gear great but i will watch both .
I think Matt LeBlanc is most likely kicking himself now , its going to make the new top gear look totally bland and outdated , Evans has most likely had a good escape leaving when he did .
Hopefully they will not be doing a huge intro again , I'm pretty sure they won't be as it seemed to be a way to show the transition from old to new .

It was okay. Cinematography is undeniably excellent. It really lacked pace for me, though. I won't make a point of watching it, but will no doubt catch bits here and there. I actually preferred watching the segments from Rory et al on the new TG...

Agree with you on Roadkill, it's absolutely great! Such an honest show, it's almost the polar opposite of what Top Gear/The Grand Tour has become.
