My car has developed a fault in the last week. When I lock it with the key (no fob) then unlock it the alarm goes off. The only way to get it to stop is wait until it stops. Re lock the. Re unlock the car.
I know literally nothing about alarms.

If it's aftermarket, it's probably not worth trying to save. Removing and considering replacing if you need one for insurance is the best way unless it's a very very expensive system. Would help to know what brand it is. I don't know a lot about alarms but there are a fair few on here that do.
