Hi everyone,
My Dad used to have this 1997 Carina 1.6 Manual in and it was sort of Red / Purply coloured. Oh ... and SUNROOF? I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED the sunroof! what a fab car ... I really loved that car as a boy and I genuinely cried when my Dad said he scrapped it (since I only saw him on every other weekend, I remember seeing this car turn up and I didn't believe it was my Dad. My Dad and that car were one in my mind). I still really want one
The hard thing is that there are really very few for sale and sometimes someone sets a really absurd price for them. Let's face facts: they are virtually worthless. That said, I am happy to pay up to £700 for what has to be a DECENT example. It's gotta be low milage, few owners because if I am going to keep a car like that it's gotta be as close to being spotless as I can go. No point buying a £300 banger to then pay £1k for a clutch replacement. It's gotta be good.
For me, as long as it is the manual, right colour, and right trim, I'm not going to be overly fussy on specs. I just want to feel as if I am in that car, and trim and colour will be the main priorities I suppose.
Oh, and the trim MUST be this theme:
It's sort of blue and red patches on the seats.
Here is the colour of the car, so you can see.
