Armour for Alvin
My wife is working this Christmas. So I was looking forward to a nice and quiet evening all by myself! Or all by myself together with the Dog and Cat. That's OK I'm not a huge fan of Christmas. But then our nice nabours invited me to spend the evening with them: In Denmark its all happening on the 24'th Good food (roasted duck) And presents! So I said yes and thought a bit about what to bring. They have a girl Katinka and a boy Alvin. Now girls is kind of difficult! I don't know much about what makes them happy! Not at 10, 20, 30 or 40 for that matter! So the SWMBO went shopping and returned with some nice drawing materials for Katinka! That was the easy part!
Alvin the boy is 9-10 ish.. And he is likes to run around in the forest beating his friends with plastic swords! They meet up each Thursday and have battle's.
So went out into my workshop and made this: ( I went into our bog/Forest and talked to the Dwarf Ægur about getting one of his pieces of used armour for Alvin)
It's Alloy It's not rocket science just shaping it, and turning the edges so there are no sharp thing's he can cut himself on.
I joined the parts with leather straps and poprivets.
And made a what ever you want to call it to hang on!
We had a lovely evening! Both kids were happy with the pressents
Merry Christmas's and greetings from Denmark!
